Obstruction on Midford Road creating traffic queues and danger to users of adjacent driveways
Reported via desktop in the Obstruction on road or pavement category anonymously at 09:31, Tue 28 June 2022
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3629641.
Car parked on Midford Road creating an obstruction on the highway and a danger to residents using adjacent driveways. It was parked there all day yesterday 8am-5:15pm and remains there at 7:45am this morning. Parking on the road is as a result of the failure of planning to enforce the construction management plan condition from a 2013 planning application that is still under construction.

Thank you for your report. Our traffic wardens can issue parking tickets for parking on double yellow lines or other parking restrictions, but we can’t respond to issues of parking when there are no restrictions in place. If parking is causing an obstruction or there is a danger please phone the police on 101. The Police have the powers to enforce parking, as well as move a vehicle if it is causing an obstruction

Vehicle was removed and just oily marks left to indicate its presence yesterday. It was reported to the police too, but the presence of the car on the road is a consequence of BATHNES planning's failure to enforce their conditions, hence reporting it to you too. These records will be used when the dangerous parking results in harm to road users or local residents.
