Vegetation is growing out of several drains and a couple have virtually disappeared
Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain: Blockage inside drain category anonymously at 09:25, Fri 22 July 2022
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3697507.
I have repeated reported this issue on the Fixmystreet website and directly to BANES.
Nothing has been done. Vegetation is growing out of several drains and a couple have virtually disappeared. As the rainwater is unable to go down the drains it rushes down the side of road creating deeper potholes in the sides of the road and eroding the trench in the middle of the road (left by the drainage work that was carried out in 2016).
The blocked drains are all the way up the road (on both sides of the road) between R O Dando & Sons and the entrance to Roundhill Farm.
I walk along this road as I do not drive to catch the buses from Chew Magna and because of the blocked drains I am forced into the middle of the road - it is just a matter of time before I am hit by a speeding vehicle as the speed limits that are painted on the roads are just about visible.

Katie Hudson (Miss)
