Flooding due to blocked drains on Ralph Allen Drive and Prior Park Road
Reported via desktop in the Flooding of a road or pavement category by Sara Loxton at 12:10, Tue 26 July 2022
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3707801.
Heavy summer rains and unmaintained roads and drainage have once again caused extreme risk of flooding to our property. If it had not been for our neighbour (we were away at our son's graduation at the time) fighting the flood water with brooms and keeping our drains open the water, which had gushed down Ralph Allen Drive and Perrymead would have entered our home. The tidal wave across the garden left substantial debris on the lawn and driveway and there is a large, smelly mud slick outside our gate on the public highway. This is a recurring problem and not for the first time we are asking you to keep the drain covers unblocked along the length of Ralph Allen Drive, Prior Park Road and Perrymead . Please send an inspector to see the problem and a cleaner to remove the mud and debris outside our gate at No.83 Prior Park Road.
