Severe fire hazard /Charlton Park (marked on map)

Reported via desktop in the Overgrown vegetation in Council parks and green spaces category anonymously at 19:20, Sun 31 July 2022

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3720338.

The piece of common land in Charlton Park which used to be mown by the council but has been left to go wild has become a SERIOUS FIRE HAZARD this summer, with long, bone-dry grass adjacent to several properties. Can it PLEASE be included in the BANES mowing schedule again as a matter of urgency. Also, please note the broken fence with twisted metal and nails protruding in one of the attached photos. From being a very well-kept piece of land, like all the other public areas in the estate, it has deteriorated into a dangerous eyesore. The situation could so easily be remedied by returning its maintenance to BANES. Please take action before there is a fire!
