Foot of Ferndale Road BA16TD
Reported via desktop in the Road sign damage category anonymously at 11:33, Tue 23 August 2022
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3774686.
Large lorries and coaches continually ignore the sign banning them from the road, leading to damage to residents' vehicles and street bollards (in addition to traffic delays). Ther are two signs at the foot of the road, but one (Unsuitable for Wide Vehicles) is orientated so that it's unclear whether it applies to Ferndale Road or Deadmill Lane. At the very least this needs rotating towards Ferndale Road. However, I believe that both these signs should be more visible (?Larger versions, ?Both sides of the road). We have even had a double-decker car transporter plus trailer attempt to get up the road, which is narrow, curved, and lined with parked cars! Is there any other way of preventing this - eg CCTV, updates to lorry Satnav maps, prosecution of offenders? Thanks, John Rawles
