Double yellow line - needed urgently

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction on road or pavement category anonymously at 16:49, Fri 26 August 2022

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3783447.

Presently, the double yellow lines which are needed along Midland Road to keep this road parking free, except in the parking laybys, on a blind bend have not been finished. There have been several altercations over several months, which are very stressful to witness, all of those preventable if street parking were to cease. On occasions where motorists have become aggressive verbally, police have been involved.

FYI - The yellow lines were increased recently but not completed as cars were parked. This issue needs to be addressed as soon as possible before someone gets hurt from cars mounting the pavement .

  • This area is a serious issue in terms of parking abuse and aggressive fast driving around this corner. No regard for sensible parking and agree needs to be addressed. Even worse with the 20 bus service coming through
