Markings are almost non existent an that the result is that vehicles now park wherever they like on Hansford Square
Reported via desktop in the Faded road markings category by Bath and North East Somerset Council at 10:56, Wed 14 September 2022
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3824547.
I am writing as resident of Bath for the past 12 months and occupant of a property within Hansford Square. My family home is on the corner of Hansford Square and Hansford Close and as such should have `white line` markings indicating the junction as well as `solid white line` markings on the right angle ned that forms part of this junction. I would like to point out that the markings are almost non existent an that the result is that vehicles now park wherever they like. Whether it is on the bend, on both sides of the road, within the mouth of the very narrow junction or on the pavement of the junction, it is clear that there is no regard for any other person than the transient vehicle owner that stops in these locations. The parking in the location is very frequent (daily) and has an impact upon the immediate residents who struggle to leave their driveways due to impaired vision and more importantly to pedestrians and cyclists who are also greatly affected with loss of vision whilst crossing the road or worse having to step in to the road. I appreciate that there is much to be done with Baths highways but this should be a very quick job and very much worthy of an initial survey to observe the lack of road markings anywhere within Hansford Square due to lack of maintenance. If required I can forward numerous photographs of above stated problems.
