The lamp post was driven into and broken off about 1 year ago. It was made safe but nothing has happened since. It is now getting darker in the evenings and has created a very dark area for pedestrians, cyclists and other road users.

  • We've looked into this report and are investigating the issue as the light was attached to a wooden pole installed by others. We will update this report once we decide what action to take.

  • We should be able to attach a new lantern to the wood pole if it is replaced. Western Power would be responsible for installing a new wooden pole and we shall follow this up with them to see what their intentions are regarding this. We can add further comments here if needs be.

  • We can confirm that work to replace this equipment is due to take place Thursday 6th April We trust the light will work as normal once works are complete. We shall add further information here when known.
