WPD Wooden pole damaged with lantern attached. Coombend

Reported via mobile in the Street light fault category anonymously at 10:13, Tue 20 September 2022

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3835077.

Moderated by Bath and North East Somerset Council at 12:31, Wed 28 September 2022

The lamp post was driven into and broken off about 1 year ago. It was made safe but nothing has happened since. It is now getting darker in the evenings and has created a very dark area for pedestrians, cyclists and other road users.

Updates

  • We've looked into this report and are investigating the issue as the light was attached to a wooden pole installed by others. We will update this report once we decide what action to take.

  • We should be able to attach a new lantern to the wood pole if it is replaced. Western Power would be responsible for installing a new wooden pole and we shall follow this up with them to see what their intentions are regarding this. We can add further comments here if needs be.
