Cars do not stop at crossing on Whiteway Road, by Roundhill Primary School.

Reported via desktop in the Faded road markings category anonymously at 08:15, Fri 14 October 2022

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3889038.

Hi there,

The zebra crossing on Whiteway Road behind Roundhill Primary School is a major cause for concern.

I use the crossing at least once a day on my dog walks and without fail cars, vans and lorries just do not stop. It doesn't matter if you're approaching the crossing or standing waiting to cross, drivers do not acknowledge the crossing. Given it's by a primary school, this is incredibly dangerous.

It would also be a revenue earner for the council to put up a camera and record (and then fine) all those drivers failing to stop.

It's essential that this issue is fixed asap. Further up Whiteway Road, at the bottom of Rush Hill (by Culverhay School), there is another crossing that is just as bad.
