Reported via desktop in the Dangerous road surface (including ice, mud, spillage or debris) category anonymously at 16:07, Tue 1 November 2022
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3930623.
Outside the entrance to the above property there has appeared what looks like a leak, this was reported to the Water Board, but on inspection, they have confirmed that it is NOT a leak but a spring. Through the summer there has been a leakage large enough to at times runs down the side of the road, it does vary. With winter fast approaching, I anticipate a problem should we experience frosty/frozen weather, the consequences being a hazard to the traffic proceeding toward Brookside/Brittens. I think it would be sensible to at least inspect, and if necessary remedy the problem before an incident occurs.

Today ( 10/12/22) there is a dangerous amount if thick ice stretching from that hole down the road and on to the pavement. The hole is getting bigger by the week. This is now a bad slip hazard for pedestrians and vehicles.

Pedestrians are being forced to step onto the road to avoid slipping on this ice. This pavement receives heavy footfall, a high number being young children walking to the local primary school. In a society of blame and claim I can't understand why this issue hasnt at the very least been isolated by barriers to stop people walking in it. The problem isn't going to go away with the 'spring' continuously leaking throught the road surface.

We have looked into this issue and found it is not the council's responsibility. We have passed this report to the relevant party to take action.
