Excessive parking on grass verge. Damaging grass and blocking back gate access.
Reported via desktop in the Bench & Public Space Damage category anonymously at 09:29, Fri 11 November 2022
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3955790.
Many people park on the grass verge at the corner of Ringswell Gardens (by Coach Cottage). This has caused significant damage to the verge. Not only this, the parking is messy and people are often parking completely onto the grass (see picture). There is enough room to park the car fully on the road and other vehicles can still pass. Many people and dogs walk on the grass verge to access the neighbourhood from London road and this is messy, dirty and destructive. Last year a vehicle that attempted to park directly on the grass got stuck in the mud and needed assistance getting off. The red car (see photo) is very regularly parking in front of our back gate (despite us politely asking him not to) where we often need access to bring in large items to the house from the back. We would like some form of parking enforcement on the grass or even the planting of some trees or something to prevent people from putting their vehicles onto the verge and causing more damage.

This is an image of what the grass used to look like and how people were not always parking up onto the verge. It is not neccessary.
