2 Henry Street

Reported via desktop in the Business bins left out early or after collection day category anonymously at 09:54, Fri 11 November 2022

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3955889.

A new building of over 10 residential flats has been built next door to me. Already significant rubbish is collecting right next to my property , bags are not being placed in correct bins and rats have already been sighted. Only 2 flats are currently occupied at the moment so what is going to happen when all flats are rented out. It is an eyesore every time we come into our house as well as a stench. Our neighbour at The Henry guest house also feels it is a complete disgrace to allow these bins to sit there in this manner.

Updates

  • I have seen an increase in rodents outside my house brought about I believe by the untidy newly introduced bins left permanently on the street by the new residents at no: 2-4 Henry street. This is now a health hazard, an aesthetics issue (as the City centre hasnt had rubbish bins outside before), a nuisance as the seagulls and pigeons are now attracted to the food waste in the bins and to add insult to injury, late night revellers are throwing their waste food and take out cartons ontop of or outside the newly introduced bins. I would like the council to resolve this issue. I keep my bins in my basement until collection.. I believe all residents on the street should too. I also would like to know what will be done about the bird and rodent issue this is creating? Will the council manage this nuisance?
