Dilapidated dirty, rusty, inaccessible and out of date bus stop

Reported via mobile in the Bus stop or shelter issue category anonymously at 10:54, Friday 11 November 2022

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3956112.

This bus stop has not been used for years. It is an eyesore as dilapidated, dirty and the sign is inaccessible to easily read. It is not positioned next to pavement or on safe, flat ground.

In fact there is some rusty metal embedded in the ground below it that an elderly and long term resident informs me used to hold a bin (presumably a Council one). That too should be removed. See second pic.

If people do ever wait they tend to wait on the pavement by the Applecroft street sign on the opposite side of the road which to me wouid be the safest and most logical place for it.

The bus service is minimal as it is but that is another issue.

  • The sign is also out of date and I have reported that before but nothing has been done.

  • It seems the sign timetable may be more or less correct after all but the rest of the concerns stand.
