16 barrow road odd down ba22td

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction on road or pavement category anonymously at 08:22, Thursday 24 November 2022

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3988963.

I would like to request putting double yellow lines from the corner and along a small stretch of the road opposite our driveway due to the dangerous nature of the parking that currently takes place. The stretch of road in question is between Wansdyke Road and Barrow Road in the direction of Vernam Grove. (Opposite 16 Barrow Road - see attached map with outline of the area in question)

Cars, vans and sometimes flatbed trucks are parked on the corner resulting in drivers having to swerve out of the way as they are not expecting it. The other issue is that cars parked there reduces our ability to pull off safely from our driveway.

I have included some photos to help explain the issue that has been going on for some time now and I would like to request this is resolved with double yellow lines.

There are also issues with transit vans parking on the corner of Barrow Road leading onto Old Fosse Road and that again is dangerous as it blocks drivers' ability to pull out safely from Barrow Road, it's an accident waiting to happen!

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards Steven Cope
