Scaffolding and barriers in road

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction on road or pavement category anonymously at 12:40, Thursday 24 November 2022

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 3990013.

At the beginning of the month parking restrictions were put in place for work to take place on the roof of number 88 Northend. These have now been lifted. However, the scaffolding and barrier are still in place.

People are now parking outside numbers 86 through to 94 Northend. This is restricting the flow of traffic, as large vehicles and vans are struggling to pass the obstruction when cars parked in the road. This has led to multiple traffic jams, cars needing to reverse and arguments in the street.

It's making life difficult, as you can't park, unload shopping, or receive deliveries. Also, pollution has increased. When there's a traffic jam, cars are stuck outside homes with their engines idling.
