  • The road is actually flooded outside number 2, number 3 and number 4. Rather than just send the chaps to clean the drain out, why don't you do something about it properly? We have lived here for 35 years and the problem has existed for 35 years. We can't get out of our houses until it clears.

  • Road is flooded outside numbers 2, 3 and 4 Percival Terrace again so again, we can't get out of our property. Same issue as for the last 35 years! How many times do we have to ask for this to be sorted properly?

  • This section of the road is completely flooded again today. The road continues to flood when there is heavy rain. Please bear in mind this is a road leading to the local primary school. Pedestrians are unable to walk to the school and have to take alternative routes with young children.

  • An update from the parish council to say that lots of children are struggling to get through the water, to the extent they're relying on piggy backs because their wellies aren't high enough, or are having to do a long detour which isn't ideal for their young legs. They're arriving at school with clothes and shoes which is also impacting teaching and learning, so is causing a fair amount of disruption.

  • The council’s apathetic attitude to a totally blocked road beggars belief. Three consecutive days & reports have resulted in NO ACTION. The postman had to borrow dry socks & a pair of wellies to complete his round. The primary school children had to make detours & our driveway is being eroded by the bow wave of passing 4x4’s THANKS FOR YOUR CARE BANES.

  • Please deploy a suitable level of resource to get this resolved permanently.

The road has been only just passable in a car and not possible for young children to walk through on the way to school. It is also forcing local elderly residents to make a long detour in order to be able to access local amenities.

Please look to restore adequate drainage rather than just pushing the water away and not properly restoring the drains.
