Building sludge in road directly outside my house

Reported via desktop in the Excessive or dangerous littering category anonymously at 08:42, Mon 23 January 2023

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 5 hours, 17 minutes later. Council ref: 4160402.

Building sludge has washed down the hill from building work slightly further up, and has come to rest/deposited directly outside 27-31 Entry Hill where we park our cars. It is unsightly and embedding in our parked vehicle tyres. Please can it be washed/cleared away

  • Hi, this seems to be even worse now (deeper, sludgier). It is not possible now to cross the road directly in front of our properties without getting this thick sludgy residue all over shoes or dog's paws and then walking it into our houses - nor is it possible to when getting out of passenger side of car to approach pavement directly in front of or behind parked vehicle. To avoid the sludge the passenger must wakk roadside alongside other parked cars until sludge-free point where they can come onto the pavement and then into the propertiy/ies.

  • Hello - further to my previous photos, please see evidence now (new photograph) of this sludgy/cementy debris now being unavoidably walked into our properties and damaging the varnished floorboards.

Also I see that you have changed the category of my complaint from 'mud/debris on the road' to 'dangerous or excessive littering'. Either way no remedial action seems to have taken place and if anything the deposit right outside our three properties seem to be getting thicker, wetter and more pervasive.

I would be grateful for an update - many thanks
