Spa Lane park - Lam Brook

Reported via desktop in the Park safety issue category anonymously at 17:18, Tuesday

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4166995.

Just flagging this up. I have just seen two young (approx 8 year old) boys climbing this tree, over the water. This is the Spa Lane park, where the wall ends and broken chainlink fence starts. I said they should go back. You cannot see the speed of the water in this image but it is so fast and deep.

  • There is a sign at the entrance advising parents that natural hazards are present in the park and that they need to supervise their children accordingly. We do not have the resources to fence off every natural feature in every park.
