Light out and wrong position

Reported via desktop in the Street light fault category anonymously at 12:14, Friday 27 January 2023

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4176362.

This light is on junction of Avon Road and Dragons Hill Close near to a footpath. The bulb blew a few days ago. When the bulb is being replaced Can the head of the lamp be turned 90% so that it better illuminates the footpath leading down to Avon Mill Lane? The Lamp post currently shields the light from that footpath. The path has no other illumination, is steep and often wet and has steps half way down that cant be seen approaching from the top.

Updates

  • We can confirm that this light is not working due to a power supply issue and National Grid have been asked to resolve this.

The lantern is positioned in its current direction as it is meant to predominantly light the road not the lane. We suggest the pavement which leads down the roadside, where there are other street lights, would be the alternative route in the dark.

This report is now closed. We hope this information is of help.
