Outside front door/junction to denny lane
Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain: Blockage inside drain category anonymously at 10:32, Thursday 9 March 2023
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4294444.
Bristol Water repaired a burst pipe filling in a broken drain. Their is one drain that takes all of the water that comes down Denny lane and Tunbridge rd. As soon as the drain gets blocked, flooding starts!! As the drain has sunk in the road - every single car van or lorry that drives past causes huge splashes of water to cover our front door/driveway. One day my fiance or children are going to get covered in muddy water!!! The council need to maintain this drain to avoid accidents happening! I will put the blue council barriers around the drain until a team come to clean it. That way it will avoid me running from my house to the car and not getting soaked. Thank you and we appreciate a swift response.

The drain team with cameras came out 28/03 and concluded that the drain is completely blocked due to other contractors just back filling the road in after specific works have been carried out. Out of 5 drains - the one specified in this report does all the work as the other drains now don’t work. Thank you for cleaning the drain out yesterday however, as you can see from the pictures taken just 1 day later, it is clear that this will not rectify the issues - on this specific part of Denny lane and tunbridge road. Many thanks.
