Road surface needs immediate repair

Reported via desktop in the Potholes & road surface category anonymously at 11:00, Saturday 18 March 2023

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4327798.

The junction of Beckhampton/Shaftesbury/Moorland Roads is littered with potholes, cracks, road debris. These potholes are large and deep. They fill with water and are obscured. They are exceptionally dangerous to cyclists and scooters. This is a very busy junction with heavy traffic and pedestrian use. Braking and stopping is impaired increasing risk of collisions. This has been reported twice before, but on both occasions no action has been taken citing 'future roadworks in the area' - no works have been forthcoming and in the meantime this road surface has degrading significantly further. There can be no reason for delaying repair - even if temporary - to this section of road.
