Waste Bin Fire

Reported via desktop in the Excessive or dangerous littering category anonymously at 16:26, Tue 21 March 2023

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 10 minutes later. Council ref: 4341752.

I am a resident at 13 King Edward Road, BA2 3PD. On Thursday this week (16/03), we put our bins out to be collected on Friday morning. A neighbour left us a note that morning to say at 1am they had put out a fire in our green glass and paper bin. Presumably someone dropped a cigarette or something in it which set the paper on fire. The bin had completely melted onto the pavement and has left quite a mess. We have ordered a new bin to replace the one damaged but we are not sure how to clean up the melted plastic on the pavement. Is there something that can be done to help us remove the remains of the bin? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
