Cars increasingly using track behind Sandpits Park

Vehicles have started using this track causing risk to children around the park. This track is used as a safe walking route to Oldfield Park Junior School and becoming degraded by vehicles . Needs 'No Vehicle Access' sign or barriers to be put in place

  • Thanks for raising this issue. The area of land which includes the track does not have a registered owner and is not part of the adopted highway, so preventing vehicle access is not a straightforward matter. However we are looking into this and will do what we can to protect the safety of users of the park and the Public Right of Way.
