Side roads at Cranwells Park too narrow for parking, making it dangerous for pedestrians when lorries mount the pavement

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction on road or pavement category anonymously at 09:39, Wednesday 22 March 2023

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4344233.

The side roads of Cranwells Park are too narrow for cars to pass parked cars. Lorries and vans drive down the pavement at speed. This is a danger to pedestrians who have to jump to safety. This has been an issue for schoolchildren. Also the pavements have sunk due to heavy lorries, making it more treacherous. Solution would be to have double yellow lines on all side roads of Cranwells Park, or at least single yellow to reduce day time parking which is when the problems occur. This issue has got worse over last few years with more vehciles parked in the day, often with wheels on the pavement.

  • Getting worse now. Cars both sides and delivery trucks can't get up hill, and pedestrians walking on road as o room on pavement. Double yellow lines please.
