Drain midway between 7 and 8 Rosemount Lane

Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain: Blockage inside drain category anonymously at 18:35, Thursday 23 March 2023

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4351491.

Drain midway between 7 and 8 Rosemount Lane contains a large amount of grit etc. Drains lower down Rosemount have been cleared periodically, but neither this, nor the next up the hill have been. The drain is now essentially a soakaway, which sometimes can't cope with the rate of flow of water into it. During the last two years the damp inside the outside and inside walls of 7 Rosemount has increased, which I believe may be due to the constant presence of water in the drain. Moreover it occasionally smells of H2S, suggesting some sewage leak/discharge into it - Wessex water are aware.
