Water being diverted away from drain

Reported via desktop in the Flooding of a road or pavement category anonymously at 20:17, Thursday 13 April 2023

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4436655.

A large volume of water regularly runs down the road. This is frequently close to flooding into properties downhill (FFH, PFC, CCottage etc), and brings notable volumes of mud & debris into the road/sharp bend in the village. Due to obstruction from previous road repairs & height of concrete at base of wall (see photo), water is being diverted out of the channel at the side of the road and away from the drain adjacent to the farm gate (see photo). This results in water running down the road itself as described above. This is causing road flooding during raining, debris/mud/stones build up on the road, and a risk of flooding to adjacent properties. Please can the road repair & concrete heights be reviewed and adjusted so that water can continue to run along the channel at the edge of the road into the drain.
