Obstructed pavement
Reported via desktop in the Obstruction on road or pavement category anonymously at 13:01, Tuesday 18 April 2023
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4455950.
The damage occurred here many months ago and still hasn't been repaired. The barriers cordoning off the damage block the pavement for anyone with mobility issues.
Wheelchair users and anyone with a buggy or pram are unable to access Walcott st if coming from the direction of Gay's Hill. In order to access Walcott st we have to walk in the road around the obstruction.
This delay in repair is completely unacceptable.

I have a now 5 month old baby and the pavement on the corner of the London road/Walcot street roundabout (by St Swithin’s church) has been unaccessible since my daughter was born. I regularly have to push by daughter in her pram on the road of the roundabout to get onto Walcot Street.
This is not only an inconvenience for pedestrians, but it also poses a serious safety risk, particularly for elderly people, children, and those with mobility issues. It is unacceptable that members of our community are being put at risk due to the poor condition of our pavements.
