Significant damage to stone inscription panel on council wall requires repair

Reported via desktop in the Bus stop or shelter issue category anonymously at 08:49, Mon 24 April 2023

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4478182.

Freeze/thaw action has caused damage to a historic stone inscription panel. Without action the whole face of the stone will continue to deteriorate rapidly. The wall borders NT prior park, but is understood to be owned by and the responsibility of BANES council. The panel is located to the left hand side of the main gate entrance. Clivedon conservation have provided the annotations to suggest how it might be repaired to minimise loss of historic fabric and prevent further degradation.
