Uncut Grass

Reported via desktop in the Overgrown vegetation in Council parks and green spaces category by Ian Blakesley at 15:15, Saturday 29 April 2023

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4499766.

The grass has not been cut properly! Just the edges of the grass area have been cut without any trimming around the trees, lamp post, parking sign pole or waste bin nearly a week ago! It is nearly May (in previous years cut in early April), so when is it going to be cut completely?

Updates

  • Three times recently a narrow strip at the very edges of the green area has been cut. The rest is becoming a hayfield. Not a word from BaNES why.

  • It looks as though BaNES have adopted a rewilding policy for publicly-administered green spaces. Portland Place is now a hayfield.
