Rats

Reported via desktop in the Park safety issue category anonymously at 12:37, Tuesday 20 June 2023

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4694771.

Last night at 9.30, I cooled off by sitting in ‘Pigeon Park’ which is off Lower Borough Walls; I was a shocked to see six large rats emerge from the bushes at one end of the park and wander in front of the seat I was sat on and this morning, when I picked up my newspaper, one was still on the grass – an area which is very popular with children playing (often quite late at night) tourists who fill the seats every day and often picnic there - inevitably dropping food. I realise that rats are an urban problem but hopefully some action might be taken to eliminate this public health hazard?
