Parking on Pavement & Double Yellow Lines
Reported via mobile in the Obstruction on road or pavement category anonymously at 13:10, Wed 21 June 2023
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4699867.
This is a reoccurring problem with this van, its parked on Double Yellow Lines and on the painted pavement on a narrow road, the owner does not seem to care less about anybody who has to walk into the road to get around this van. Its also parked right opposite a lane so it must be awkward to get cars into/out of here and all down to the illegal parked van. It seems that nothing is being done so does this mean that we can all park our cars/vans anywhere we want ?. This van was there tuesday evening around 7pm and is still there now.

This van has been here since tuesday evening and as far as I know it has not moved, it is still causing problems as before. Its parked on Double Yellow lines and right opposite an entrance/exit to the houses opposite but as said before the owner does not seem to care. Has this been abandoned as its not moved for days now.

The van has at the moment moved up the road and is now replaced AGAIN with the car, as it shows in the photos its parked on DOUBLE YELLOW lines and on the footpath, has anything been done about this as it seems not. Pedestrians going up and down here are being forced to walk into the road to get around the car, is this safe !.

The car has now moved up the road and has been replaced AGAIN by the van. Is anybody in the council doing anything about this as nothing seems to be happening !. Again we are being forced to walk into the road to get around this van who seems to think they can park anywhere on Double Yellow Lines.

Yes here it is again, pictures taken about 0445 pm today, Thursday 27 July, These were taken from the pavement on the opposite side before we crossed over being forced to walk into the road to go around this van. You can plainly see that its parked fully over the DOUBLE YELLOW lines and painted pavement. Does the owner care as it seems not !, Does the owner know the highway code about yellow lines ? . Is anything being done about this as this also seems not, so we take it until somebody gets hurt nothing will be done ?,

These are back again, we have the van and car both parked on the DOUBLE YELLOW lines and Pavement, is anything being done ?. Anybody walking up/down this road is now forced to walk into the road with little chance of getting out of the way of vehicles coming along. It does seem really obvious that the owners do not care less about other users of this road !, We can only take it that nothing will be done until there is a accident here ?

Yes they are both back again, Approx 6pm walking down the road it seems obvious that nothing is being done regarding this problem, you obviously don't have to walk in the road to get around any vehicles in your area but WE DO !. You can plainly see that both the car and van are parked on DOUBLE YELLOW Lines and on the painted pavement put there for pedestrians use in trying to keep them safe ?. Is anything being done as there seems to be no updates from anybody.

The car & van are here again at approx 05.50pm on Friday 10/08/23, you can easily see they are BOTH on the Double Yellow Lines and pavement. Pedestrians are being put in danger being forced to walk into the road to get past these vehicles but the owner doesn't see m to care about this and neither does the council as there have been No updates regarding this. the van seems to go in the daytime (to work) and returns in the evenings, the car varies. Its about time these vehicle were removed ?.

Saturday at 4.30 and the van and car are still here, I nearly got ran over by a car having to walk around the van into the road but does anybody care !!!, it does not seem like it. Also may I point out that you cannot give out parking tickets for other drivers parked on Double Yellow lines and let this carry on !, or is it there are different rules for everybody as to where to park.

These vehicles come and go regularly depending on what parking is available, the car has currently gone but the van comes and goes, often parking here during the early evening/night and weekends. Has anything been done as there have been no updates at all from the council.
