Trees overhanging the Wellsway in Keynsham

Reported via desktop in the Trees and woodland category anonymously at 11:25, Wed 19 July 2023

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4802989.

On the 23rd May 2023 I telephoned Council Connect to report some trees overhanging the Wellsway in Keynsham as having ash die back, and followed this up with some photographs.

Please can you let me know what progress has been made with regard to having them inspected and made safe?

I live across the road from these trees and remember approximately 19 years ago a large branch falling off these trees on to the road below, hitting a car that was travelling along the road. Fortunately no one was killed on that occasion. Let’s hope that if another branch falls onto the road that no one is killed the next time.

The Wellsway is going to be closed for up to 12 weeks from next Monday for sewer works, so this would present an ideal opportunity for the tree works to be completed whilst the road is not in use by traffic.

Please can you let me know what is happening.
