Missing Yellow Lines

Reported via desktop in the Faded road markings category anonymously at 09:42, Monday 7 August 2023

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4865206.

Since the road was re-surfaced cars have appeared to take this road as a parking space. Where this used to be all no parking some yellow lines do not now run the full length of the road. These parked vehicles are a danger to this fast and busy road blocking through traffic. It will also cause a problem when schools are back and traffic increases.

  • This is still a problem.

  • This is becoming a dangerous problem. Vans are constantly parking in this are - where the missing yellow lines are - this makes crossing this fast road very dangerous. Most often they block or park by the exit from the bridge and block the view of traffic approaching.

  • Another photo suggests this was a mistake, the double yellow lines aren't end-capped. The new tarmac just covers the existing lines.

People are having to stand in the road to peer around vans to cross now.

  • Please sort this! Very dangerous - why is the new road crossing not yet operational?

  • This still hasn't been resolved. It makes entering our exiting our car park at 210 Lower Bristol Road extremely difficult as you cannot see cars coming down Lower Bristol Road. It is only a matter of time before there is an incident. Please resolve!

  • This has been an issue for almost 2 months now. Bikes are starting to ride on the pavement instead of in the road heading towards the city centre and it's causing even more danger for pedestrians.

  • The lines have now been painted, thank you!
