Weeds on the entire street.

Reported via desktop in the Removal of Weeds category anonymously at 11:17, Mon 7 August 2023

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4865762.

The photo attached is just a small example of Eden Park Drive. The gutters are becoming choked with weeds, mainly Dandelions. This is causing the gutters to break up on the edges. Also any leaves and debris are caught up in the weeds, which then rot down and encourage even more weeds. I try to keep my area tidy, but am beginning to feel it is a losing battle. This problem has been more of an issue since the rewilding has started, all that happens is the stronger weeds take over and the resulting seeds are blown around in the breeze and end up either in the gardens or gutters. Please can you help with this matter.

  • Where can we expect weed cleaning ?

  • FMS Ref 4865762. This was the original sample as an example for the whole street. Needless to say that since August the problem has worsened. I understand that there is only a very small team for all of BANES. I would just like an update as to when the weeds will be removed, am I correct in assuming we are in a queue? I am still keeping my area weed free, but it does show up the rest. There is no interest in the formation of a weeding team, the usual response is, "that is what we pay our council tax for". Please can you help with this matter . Many thanks.
