Overgrown path brambles, stinging nettles and weeds

Reported via mobile in the Removal of Weeds category anonymously at 12:21, Monday 7 August 2023

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4866148.

The footpath is severely over grown. We have just cleared the stinging nettles and brambles from the top section (dark section on the path shows how far out they came) as my husband and toddler (in his pushchair) were stung whilst walking down this bit earlier today. As you can see the pathway at the top is far wider than further down as it has not all been cut back. It is not safe for pedestrians especially little ones as the brambles and nettles are at face height. Please can this be urgently maintained. Thank you

  • Still no response. There is a good 8-10 inches of pathway under the overgrown vegetation. My 15 month old got stung yesterday coming up it as the nettles blew down as we walked past. This is really unacceptable, especially when the bottom footpath had been trimmed without any real need. Why waste the money on that section right now when that pathway was not overrun with weeds. Please can someone respond.

  • The pathway is all but closed now. There is less than a foot from the edge of the overgrowth on the right and the fence boundary of the property to the left.

When will this be dealt with please. My toddler was stung again whilst in his pushchair.

Please can someone give an update.

    Thank you
