Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4894324.

Updates

  • Thank you for your report. These Horse Chestnut trees were last pruned in 2021 when the canopies were raised to 8m above ground level and pruned back from the adjacent properties. There is an inspection programme for the circa 30,000 trees the council manage and these are due for reinspection late autumn. Any safety critical works identified will be included in the tree works programme and prioritised accordingly. Also, the feedback you have supplied will be recorded against the trees' records on the management database.

    State changed to: In progress

Posted by Bath and North East Somerset Council at 12:15, Thursday 7 September 2023

  • The prune undertaken in 2021 was no more than 15-20 mins for two men at low level.

These tree’s are a danger to the public, the branches hit the telephone cables in the wind and they block out light to the properties to the rear of Lyme Gardens. Also when large vehicles drive under then the branches scrape the top of the vehicle’s.

Please can the council give these tree’s a reasonable trim
