Oversized planter on edge of junction blocks view

Reported via mobile in the Vegetation blocking road or sign visibility - In a residential area category anonymously at 07:57, Tue 22 August 2023

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4915042.

The planter is blocking visibility for going into and out of this junction. The new highway rules giving pedestrians priority at the side road is making this junction horrifically dangerous when turning into the junction as there can be as little as 2 or 3 meters of reaction time. Pulling out of this junction as a car is also horrific. It's not as bad during winter as the plants are lower, but it's still bad. Whole planter needs removing really.

  • The vegetation in the planters is grown again and it has made going into and out of the junction very poor visibility. Danger to cycles, pedestrians and other road traffic in all directions.
