30mph road sign on High Street Bathford, is outdated and discontinued

Reported via desktop in the Road sign damage category anonymously at 15:49, Monday 18 September 2023

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5006604.

Yellow 30mph road sign on High Street coming into Bathford, with 'in 250 yards' underneath, was only meant to be used for temporary road works and was discontinued in 2016.

When the TSGD was updated in 2016, the sign was listed as removed- looks like sign has actually been up there for a long time. It is very confusing for road users, could this be investigated and removed?

  • The location is here. You can see the sign. https://maps.app.goo.gl/ gpCdoUYR4AdqyXV98?g_st=ic

As you can see from the attached photos the sign was only for road works sites. It was removed from use in 2016 I understand
