No Bike Parking.

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5023851.

You want people to arrive in a sustainable way to shop in Chelsea Road but once you get here on a bike, there is nowhere to securely leave it as there are no bike racks. The only bike racks are the two that are privately supplied by the Spar shop and they are always full. Bikes are routinely left attached to lampposts and obstructing the pavement. I cannot blame them for doing so as there is nowhere to lock them up. What are they supposed to do? I would appreciate a reply to this and I think it’s something that should be sorted out, especially as the council seem to be on a trajectory to remove as many cars as possible from these areas. People cannot cycle to an area such as Chelsea Road if they cannot leave their bike in a sensible place.
