Waltnining Lane, from Stony Lane
Reported via desktop in the Vegetation blocking road or sign visibility - In the countryside category anonymously at 16:39, Monday 16 October 2023
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5103334.
This is an overgrown Class 6 road (so is Highways to clear not PROW). Volunteers have cleared two thirds of this recently but the last third, from the junction with Stony Lane, is overgrown with hazel saplings and is virtually impassable (see photo). It would be useful if Stony Lane and Waltnining Lane could both be cut regularly with mechanical cutters, please. The blackthorn and hazel grow up every year but do not appear to have been cut for several years.

On 9th Nov, one section of class 6 road Waltnining Lane (section immediately East of junction with Stony Lane) had not yet been cut back, making it difficult to walk along this section.
