Removal of litter and rubbish
Reported via desktop in the Fly-tipping category by Michael Brett at 09:52, Sat 18 November 2023
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5226270.
Recently shrubbery and trees including a semi mature apple tree were removed from Council owned land adjoining the service road between the Cattle Market car park and the river wall. While local residents regret the loss of the apple tree it is reassuring that attention is being paid to a site which has hitherto been used for limited parking during the day, for drug abuse, as a toilet by illegally parked taxi drivers and for fly tipping.
However, removal of the trees has revealed piles of rubbish resulting from fly tipping and littering over many years.
This is an eyesore especially in the city centre and local residents, who have done their best to keep the area as tidy as possible over the years, request that the Council have accumulated rubbish removed as soon as possible.
