SO this is very bad health and safety a child was walking around the pond because they were exited about it because the fence had been cleared I personally felt over a pile of scaffolding clips and where the needed access to the pond the ripped out the railings and they have just been left hanging of someone could get impaeld. Also I thought that the silt was meant to be removed but there is still a lot of silt left. And pump and pipe left over the path along with a wheelbarrow left and to top it of metal fencing left open around gravel and a digger. So please go down tomorrow and check before they leave thank you

Thanks for flagging this up and really sorry to hear about the bits and pieces that were left in place yesterday after the fencing had been removed. The contractor is scheduled to finish by 22nd November and someone from the Parks Team will check the area today for any potential safety hazards that might be remaining. A very large volume of silt has been removed but when work started it was discovered that the pond has a plastic/rubber liner at the base and so the team had to be extra careful not to dig out all of the silt – to ensure that the liner wasn’t damaged. This means that a shallow layer of silt has been left in place to protect the liner. Thanks again for flagging this up. We will ensure that the contractor will do everything that they can to make the area safe before leaving the site.
