Road sign blocking vision

Coming from the field there is a public footpath gate, trying to cross over the road from here you cannot see what is coming down the hill. You have to lean right out to see around the road sign to check if vehicles are coming down the hill. This is used by dog walkers and parents with young children from school run, it’s so unsafe being on the grass bank having to lean out, the vehicles are not slow coming down the hill. If you lost your balance trying to lean out it would be awful. The road sign is in a very bad position
