Road continues to be left in an unsafe state
Reported via desktop in the Dangerous road surface (including ice, mud, spillage or debris) category anonymously at 12:36, Mon 27 November 2023
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 2 weeks, 2 days, 59 minutes later. Council ref: 5256938.
This road which is the only access to the Sidings is a risk to public safety and a better solution needs to be found other than when it’s reported by the residents. The road is continually covered in mud and rocks from the building site. Very little effort if any is made to try and clear the road. It is dangerous to cycle or walk across the road due to the mess. The builder make no attempt to clear up and often leave hose pipes out on the pavement overnight which are a public hazard. Can I please ask that a long term solution is put in place to resolve the issue.
Updates
-
So today’s update. The road condition has worsened and to add insult to injury, the pavement have now been dug up and fenced off forcing pedestrians to walk in the road. This is unacceptable and no effort to protect the public has been made. An intervention is required in order to avoid a serious accident.
