Dangerous slippery moss& algae in walking and playarea
Reported via desktop in the Park safety issue category anonymously at 15:47, Sat 30 December 2023
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5369041.
Chalfield park and surrounding path is extremely slippery. My young children and nieces have slipped (aged 3, 4, 6, 7, 8) and badly hurt themselves. This is highly unacceptable. The colour and density of the algae would indicate this has not been done for years. I have parents in their 70s who often take the children to this park- one who is already recovering from a broken back. This is not safe and urgently needs to be pressure washed to remove the deep thick layers which makes it very unsafe for the very demographic groups who most use it, particularly at this time of year. I note other park users have also slipped and find the area exceptionally unsafe.
