Investigating
Overgrown hedge between canal garden allotments and towpath
Reported via desktop in the Allotment issue category anonymously at 09:34, Thursday 4 January 2024
Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5391681.
Dear Sir/Madam,
We overlook the Kennet and Avon canal at 6 and 9 Sydney buildings. Due to the lack of yearly pruning, a short stretch of the sycamore hedge between the towpath and the canal gardens allotments below, (just beyond Tesco car park), has been allowed to grow such there is now a row of unruly tall branches. To preserve the hedge as it was they really to be cut back to where this extra growth has occurred. Is there a possibility your parks/allotments team would be prepared to take on this pruning task? We would be prepared to make a contribution to the cost.

The water tap at the bottom of Plot 22a Canal Gardens has not been fixed, the water has been turned off but no pressure . This is an important source of water and will be needed most urgently within the next few weeks.
