Established tree with reported fungus and rot in trunk

Reported via desktop in the Trees and woodland category anonymously at 10:46, Monday 8 January 2024

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5412410.

At the top of Elm Tree Avenue in Westfield there is a beautiful and well established Cherry Tree right on the corner of Elm Tree Avenue and the A367 Wells Road. Local residents have noticed fungus and rot in the trunk and are concerned that it may fall down. Please could the tree be inspected and action taken accordingly?
