Severe ice on road

Reported via mobile in the Dangerous road surface (including ice, mud, spillage or debris) category anonymously at 13:17, Sat 20 January 2024

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5467777.

Water from the neighbouring fields causes chaos during winter months as the hill becomes extremely dangerous due to the sheer amount of ice from brow at top of hill to the very bottom where it meets the river. This area needs a grit bin as requested on multiple occasions. Many horse riders, cyclists and walkers use this route and in its current state there is a very real chance of a fatality! There is a grit bin half way up the neighbouring hill and in comparison they have nowhere near as much ice as this road but yet get a bin. All this could be sorted with a grit bin placed either at top or bottom of the hill for residents to use.
