Washed out bridlepath

Reported via desktop in the Potholes & road surface category anonymously at 20:44, Tuesday 30 January 2024

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council 2 days, 13 hours, 26 minutes later. Council ref: 5512602.

Unfortunately the entire length of this path has been severely washed out making it very dangerous footing for pedestrians and horse riders. it is one of very few bridlepaths in this area so would be very disappointing to not be able to use if it didn't get attention.

  • We acknowledge your enquiry and concerns regarding Wilmington lane. The authority has several lanes & tracks which have been affected by recent prolonged periods of adverse weather. We are currently assessing what resources are required to improve locations such as this. Our current priority is on the more heavily used areas of public highway however it is our intention to make improvements to the lane when the dryer weather is upon us and the logistics of getting the necessary plant and materials into these lanes is practical.
