Car left at bottom of Midsummer Bdgs since beginning of December

Reported via desktop in the Abandoned Vehicles/Bikes category anonymously at 17:04, Mon 12 February 2024

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 5567617.

I reported this after Christmas, and received a response which I felt was really unsatisfactory. Having worked for Curo and Bristol City Council in supporting people services, I have been aware of three cases of bodies being found in properties over the years, because no one made any enquiries if a person hadn't been seen for some time. If you are completely certain that the owner of this car is safe and there is some reason that it is left on the road with 2 flat tyres, unwashed and no sign of an owner (I have checked with neighbours and we do not know who it belongs to), then fair enough. But I do think it would be responsible to check. There are many many vulnerable, isolated people in our community, and ignoring something like an abandoned car and suggesting that the owner may just be on holiday, is a bit of a cop out. It would be fine if they were, but are we/are you, sure?
